The CAF Africa Schools Football Championship officially kicks off this Wednesday, April 23rd, till 26th in Accra, Ghana.
This U15 tournament that has attracted 16 teams competing in both boys and girls will Uganda’s representatives in action on the opening day.
Uganda’s boys team represented by St Mary’s SS, Kitende was drawn in group A alongside hosts Ghana, Algeria, and South Africa while the girls, represented by St Noah Girls-Zana, were drawn in group B alongside defending champions South Africa, Gambia and DRC.
The Uganda girls’ team opens against defending champions South Africa in the afternoon at the University of Ghana Stadium while the boys’ team starts against hosts Ghana late in the afternoon.
St Mary’s SS- Kitende is under the guidance of proven youth football coach Hassan Zungu while St Noah is under proficient Coach Jimmy Kintu.
