Two motorcycle racers Owen Jenner, 21, and New Zealander Shane Richardson died in an 11-bike crash during a British Supersport Championship race at Oulton Park on Monday.
Jenner, a rising British talent with multiple championship wins, and Richardson, who moved to the UK in 2019, were fatally injured on the first lap.
Fellow rider Tom Tunstall, 47, is hospitalized with serious injuries, while five others sustained minor injuries.
Tributes have poured in for both riders, highlighting their talent and character.
Rapid Honda, Jenner’s team, expressed “sadness beyond words.”
Fellow New Zealander Morgan McLaren-Wood, also involved in the crash, shared his heartbreak.
