The FUFA Competitions Department has confirmed that the Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinal draw will be conducted on Thursday, 16 April, at Umoja House in Nakasero.
The draw will feature four of Uganda’s most decorated sides: four-time winners Vipers SC, record nine-time champions SC Villa, 2014 winners URA FC, and reigning holders Kitara FC.
All four clubs arrive at this stage after dramatic quarterfinal encounters. Vipers survived a tense penalty shootout, edging NEC FC 4-3 after a goalless stalemate. SC Villa advanced courtesy of Andrew Otim’s decisive strike in a 1-0 win over Happy Boys Kagaba.
Kitara underlined their title credentials with a commanding 3-0 victory over ten-time winners Express FC, while URA showed resilience to eliminate KCCA FC 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw across normal and extra time.
The semifinals will be played on a home-and-away basis, with aggregate winners progressing to the final of the 52nd edition of Uganda’s premier knockout competition.
Beyond domestic glory, the champions will secure Uganda’s slot in the CAF Confederation Cup, raising the stakes for what promises to be a fiercely contested stage.
