The Entebbe District Ludo Association has been reinstated into the Uganda Ludo Association after years of suspension.
Entebbe District was suspended along with its entire leadership in 2013 over indiscipline and mutiny, which had negatively affected players in the region.
The reinstatement was confirmed during the Uganda Ludo Association General Assembly held at Hollyfam Hotel in Nansana, where Fred Musisi was appointed interim district chairman.
The assembly also voted to amend its constitution to align with the new Sports Act.
The changes include the appointment of an external auditor, the requirement that delegates come from clubs, and regulations for the National Super League.
Uganda Ludo Association president Hussein Kalule stated that the body has coverage in 55 districts as confirmed by the National Council of Sports (NCS), though they believe they operate in 120 districts.
“We have clubs in over 120 districts despite NCS confirming 55. We are showing evidence as we re-apply and we hope we shall be successful,” noted Kalule.
Under the new sports law, federations must demonstrate 75% national coverage to re-register with NCS for certification, while associations must show at least 50% coverage.
