Eloise Webb has been recalled to the Springbok Women’s Sevens as they fight for core status at the HSBC SVNS World Championships in Bordeaux.
The 30‑year‑old, who missed out on the 2024 Olympic debut, returned unexpectedly after an injury crisis. She set up a match‑winning try in Hong Kong and scored a dazzling solo effort against Australia in Valladolid, helping South Africa climb to 10th in the standings.
Now France, New Zealand and Argentina await in Pool A. “We can only control our own output and our destiny,” Webb said. “We want to be back on the circuit and will leave nothing out there.”
