Serena Williams’ comeback at Queen’s Club was cut short on Thursday after partner Victoria Mboko withdrew with a knee injury.
The duo had impressed in their opening win but Mboko, ranked No. 9, injured her left knee in singles against Karolina Pliskova and opted out of the doubles quarterfinal.

Williams will now shift focus to the Berlin Ladies Open next week as she continues her return.
