Futsal: What Inspired Jjunju To Start A Futsal School

Futsal School Uganda (FSU) is the latest and new baby on the block as far as futsal is concerned in Uganda.

The Chairman of the Futsal Association of Uganda (FAU), Hamza Jjunju is the brain behind this project as he shares his inspiration and motivation.

“I discovered futsal, a fast-paced and skill-intensive version of football, and was hooked,” Jjunju was quoted by Nimsport.

“As a founder, I have always been passionate about this beautiful game but i later realized that there were limited opportunities for young players to develop their skills and reach their full potential.”

“That is how Futsal School Uganda started earlier this year to avail the young talent a platform to develop their skills, gain exposure, and build a career in futsal and football,” the sports administration noted.

Futsal is a global sport and has grown rapidly in Uganda with a seasonal Futsal Super League currently sponsored by BetPawa Uganda.

“We believe that every child should be given an opportunity to play futsal.”

“Sports can develop and improve personalities and social skills and this is a better pathway to diversity,” Jjunju further noted.

For starters, the young players between the age of three to 15 years are targeted under the theme of “Play, Learn, and Grow The Futsal Way”.

Registration goes for UGX 100,000 and Jjunju can be contacted via 0774114126 for details.
