HRMAU Celebrates 25 Years Anniversary with Sports and Community Engagement

The Human Resource Manager’s Association of Uganda (HRMAU) marked its 25th anniversary with a vibrant day of sports and community engagement on August 31, 2024, at Makerere University Business School.

The event, themed “Supporting Talent and Enhancing Productivity through Healthy Living,” brought together over 1,000 HR professionals from across the country.

The day was filled with a variety of sporting activities, including football, netball, chess, and running races.

Additionally, HRMAU partnered with local organizations to facilitate on-site blood donation drives, providing participants with an opportunity to contribute to a noble cause.

“Today’s event is not just a celebration of our 25-year journey; it’s also a reaffirmation of our commitment to supporting government initiatives aimed at fostering healthier communities,” said Mbosa Ronald, HRMAU Chairperson.

Beyond the sports and community service, the event served as a platform for networking and professional growth.

Attendees from various sectors, including private companies, public entities, NGOs, and SMEs, had the chance to connect, share insights, and discuss best practices in human resource management.

“This special day underscores our dedication to not only managing people but also enriching their lives,” said Wasswa, the Association’s public relations and marketing manager.

“As we continue to champion health and wellness within our organizations and beyond, we are proud to mark this milestone with such a meaningful and enjoyable event.”

To recognize outstanding performances, awards and trophies were presented to the top teams and individuals, celebrating their achievements and contributions to the event.
