Just days after parting ways with Kitara, Brian Ssenyondo is already set for a new challenge as he joins Express as their new head coach.
The 31-year-old quickly reached an agreement with the Red Eagles to replace Baker Mbowa, who was dismissed after a poor start to the season.
The official announcement from Express is expected soon.
In the meantime, interim head coach Badru Kaddu continues to lead the squad, though Ssenyondo’s appointment is anticipated in the coming days.
Ssenyondo and Mbowa both exited their respective clubs after a tough start to the season, with Kitara in 14th place and Express sitting 9th on the UPL table.
Ssenyondo’s immediate focus will be on turning around Express’ form, starting with their upcoming fixture against Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on October 31.
Express fans are hopeful that Ssenyondo’s leadership will bring fresh energy and a much-needed boost as the team looks to climb the standings.
