One of the most shocking results of the quarterfinal stage was the elimination of defending champions Busiki by Bugabula.

A solitary goal from Edgar Magombe in the 55th minute proved to be the difference, as Bugabula secured a 1-0 victory. Busiki coach Dennis Watuke attributed the loss to a disrupted schedule, which affected his team’s rhythm and fitness.

Another notable result was Bukono’s 2-0 victory over Budiope. Joel Bola Matua’s brace secured Bukono’s place in the semifinals for the first time in their history.

Bukono coach Hussein Agaba praised his team’s preparation and fortune, while Budiope’s coach Isa Kifuwa lamented missed opportunities.

On Saturday, Buzaaya edged out Kigulu 1-0, with Owen Mawejje scoring the lone goal. Buzaaya will now make their debut appearance in the semifinals. In another match, Butembe defeated Bunha 3-1, securing their sixth semifinal berth.

The semifinals will feature the following matchups:
* Bukono vs. Buzaaya
* Bugabula vs. Butembe

With a total prize money of Shs 550 million, the MTN Busoga Masaza Cup continues to be one of the most prestigious football tournaments in Uganda.
