Prisons Netball Club has confirmed the acquisition of midcourt player Margaret Kenema as one of the youngsters added to their roster.
The 19-year old’s versatility in playing both Wing Attack (WA) and Centre (C) positions brings flair, technical ability and flexibility to the defending champions.
Kenema helped school powerhouse St. Mary’s SS, Kitende to win three consecutive National and East Africa Championships.
The side has also added former St Noah Girls Sharon Pita. The 19-year old also comes with versatility. Nashim Khadaala is the other addition with the 19-year old able to play in center and defense.

“I’m happy to join the best Netball club in the country. It’s nice to blend with experienced players like Lillian Ajio, who constantly guides me. I am already in love with everyone in this team and winning trophies is my top priority,” stated Khadaala, the former St Mary’s SS, Kitende captain.
Veteran player Lillian Ajio believes that addition of the young blood will help to build the team and lead the side to glory.

“We are trying to motivate and advise them. It is good they listen to them and Prisons has senior players from whom they can learn a lot. We are ready for action because we have been training and ready to defend our title,” noted the former She Cranes star.
Under She Cranes assistant coach Ruth Meeme, holders Prisons face injured NIC in their league season opener this Saturday at the Hamz Nakivubo stadium.
