Manager Ange Postecoglou is facing a crisis at Nottingham Forest, with fans calling for his sacking barely three weeks into the job after a 3-2 Europa League defeat to Midtjylland on Thursday.
The loss at the City Ground marks a 100-year low: Postecoglou is the first permanent Forest manager in a century to go winless in his first six games.
The atmosphere turned hostile after Midtjylland scored their third goal, with supporters chanting “You’re getting sacked in the morning” at the former Tottenham boss.
“The fans are disappointed. They are allowed to have an opinion on it. I heard their opinion,” said a downcast Postecoglou, who was appointed on September 9th.
Despite his struggles—and following his dismissal from Spurs just months after winning a trophy—Postecoglou insists he remains committed to his process. “I really believe in the process… and I don’t think we’re far away from being the team that can eradicate the situation,” he stated.
However, with owner Evangelos Marinakis having a history of swift managerial changes, pressure is intense ahead of Forest’s trip to Newcastle on Sunday.
