Carlos Queiroz has been appointed Ghana’s head coach just 72 days before the 2026 World Cup.
The 73‑year‑old Portuguese, who left Oman last month, will make his fifth consecutive World Cup appearance.
Queiroz replaces Otto Addo after Ghana’s defeats to Austria and Germany in March. The Black Stars face Croatia, England, and Panama in Group L.
With experience leading Portugal, Iran, Egypt, Colombia, and South Africa, Queiroz is tasked with stabilizing Ghana ahead of the tournament.
