Heartbreak for Cricket Cranes as Namibia Secures Victory in African Games Semifinals

Despite a valiant effort from Uganda’s bowlers, including stellar performances from Alpesh Ramjani and Juma Miyagi who each claimed three wickets, the Namibian batting lineup proved resilient.

Facing a daunting challenge, Uganda’s batsmen struggled to gain momentum, with key players Roger Mukasa and Simon Ssesazi exiting the field early in the game. Despite their best efforts, the Cricket Cranes fell short by 24 runs, succumbing to Namibia’s strong bowling attack.

With this defeat, Uganda’s cricket team finds themselves relegated to the third-place playoff, where they will battle for the bronze medal.

Despite the setback, the Cricket Cranes will be hoping to bounce back and return home with a medal.
