MultiChoice Uganda has unveiled sweeping measures to guarantee every football fan a front-row seat at the world’s biggest sporting spectacle, cutting hardware costs and extending premium access across its platforms.
Colin Asiimwe, Head of Marketing at MultiChoice Uganda, outlined the company’s bold plan for the tournament, assuring fans that DStv is committed to delivering unmatched coverage. All 104 matches will air live on four dedicated SuperSport channels, complete with expert analysis and multi-language commentary to give the event a distinctly local flavor.
“Our goal is to ensure no one is left behind,” Asiimwe emphasized, urging those without active connections to secure hardware immediately to follow every kick, goal, and historic moment.
In a groundbreaking move to maximize accessibility, MultiChoice has slashed decoder entry prices. Fans can now purchase a DStv decoder for just UGX 15,000, the same promotional price as a GOtv decoder.
Equally significant, viewers no longer need premium packages to enjoy the action. MultiChoice has democratized access by extending live broadcasts to base tiers.
– DStv Access subscribers will enjoy all 104 matches for UGX 49,000 per month, or opt for the flexible Ka Weekie at UGX 15,000 per week.
– GOtv Plus users will also have full coverage for UGX 36,000 per month, with a Ka Weekie option at UGX 11,500.
