KIU Titans Extend Winning Streak with Convincing Victory Over Livingstone

KIU Titans continued their impressive form in the National Basketball League’s second round, securing their third consecutive win with a dominant 88-48 victory over Livingstone at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday.

Despite facing the absence of four key players due to injuries, the Titans display a commanding performance, asserting their dominance from the opening whistle to the final buzzer.

Pierre Kasereka Tembo leads the charge with an outstanding performance, contributing 21 points, three rebounds, and six assists, showcasing his pivotal role in the team’s success.

Edgar Munaba impresses with a double-double, registering 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Peter Obleng makes a notable return to the team, adding 10 points, three rebounds, and two assists in his first game of the season.

Joel Lukoji Banza demonstrates his versatility on the court, contributing eight points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists, further solidifying the Titans’ dominance.

Despite being tied on points with Namuwongo Blazers, KIU Titans currently occupy the second spot on the NBL-MEN’S table, setting the stage for an exciting playoff race.

Coach Julius Lutwama expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance and emphasized the importance of maintaining their winning streak to secure a favorable position heading into the playoffs.

Tembo reflected on his recent performance and injury recovery, expressing gratitude to his coach and teammates for their support and expressing optimism for further improvement in the upcoming games.
