The KIU Titans showcased their dominance with a commanding 106-53 victory over the Ndejje Angels in the National Basketball League at the MTN Arena in Lugogo.
The game, which tipped off at 9:00 pm, saw the Titans maintain a significant lead throughout all four quarters, leading to a decisive win.
The Titans started strong, outscoring the Angels 24-8 in the first quarter and continued to build their lead with a 26-10 advantage in the second quarter. The trend persisted in the second half, with KIU Titans adding 31 points in the third quarter and 25 points in the final period, while the Angels managed 15 and 20 points respectively.
Kasereka Tembo was dominant once again, scoring a total of 20 points for the Titans. Zurri Campbell, who contributed 13 points and 5 rebounds was another standout performer.
Joel Lukoji also made a significant impact with 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists, earning a game index of 26. Stanley Mugerwa added 12 points and 10 rebounds, solidifying the team’s dominance on both ends of the court.
For the Ndejje Angels, Cikom Monybai was the standout player with 19 points and 10 rebounds, despite his team’s struggles. Haron Alinaitwe supported with 11 points and 3 assists, but it was not enough to close the gap.
This victory means the KIU Titans are second in the standings with 29 points tied with the Namblazers, who are first thanks to their superior scoring statistics.
The Ndejje Angels on the other hand stay at the bottom of the standings with 21 points.
