The 2024 Stanbic Golf Monthly Match Play Challenge Round of 16 stage got underway on Saturday, with the par-71 Entebbe Club providing a scenic and challenging backdrop for the matches. An impressive turnout of 137 players, including those in the subsidiary category, took part.
Among the standout performances, the pairs of Lillian Koowe & Joyce Kisembo and Peace Kabasweka & Harriet Kitaka emerged victorious, advancing to the quarter finals. Koowe and Kisembo secured their win against Sam Kacungira & Vincent Katutsi (2/1). Meanwhile, Kabasweka and Kitaka progressed effortlessly after their opponents, Sean Kinsella & Dejan Stepanovic, had to forfeit, granting them a walkover.
