Kibira Delivers Swift Knockout to Serugo in Boxing Champions League

The Lugogo Indoor Arena was electrified on Saturday evening as Owen Kibira delivered a swift knockout against Bashir Serugo just seconds into the first round. This fight marked Kibira’s debut in the Light Middleweight (71kg) category of the Uganda Boxing Champions League.

Kibira, representing Lukanga Boxing Club, made a sensational entrance into the Light Middleweight division after competing in the Welterweight (67kg) category for the past two seasons. Despite narrowly missing out on the National Open Gold to Nerrick Tumusiime, Kibira’s strong performance underscored his prowess and potential in his new weight class.

The Light Middleweight division is set for exciting encounters, featuring notable boxers such as Broline Kimbugwe and National Open Gold medalist Nerrick Tumusiime.
