Having won the toss and choosing to bat first, Uganda proved unstoppable on their way to setting a 182 target.

Uganda’s strike and attack line came out flawless on the day, with Proscovia Alako owning the field.

The batter notched a game-high 93 runs from 54 balls, missing out on a century by just seven runs. Her partnership with team captain Jimia Muhammad was one that fletched 129 runs as Jimia managed 36 from 42.

Still, on the strike, Sandra Achwoa was a double-figure hitter too with her 17 from 12.

The attack was commanded by Kevin Amuge who picked up four wickets while giving out only two runs from four overs.

Malisa Ariokot, Lonah Anyait and Annet Anume walked out with a solitary wicket each. Uganda has been unstoppable thus far and they storm the semi-finals unblemished.

As they await to learn their semi-final opponents who are likely to be Tanzania or Rwanda, the girls take a three-day rest. They will return to action on Saturday.
