But in a game played behind closed doors courtesy of a FUFA sanction on hosts Onduparaka, the Jogoo failed to find the drive like they did in their opening day victory over Gadaffi FC with their fans in full voice.

The game was entirely unconvincing, and only Rashid Okocha’s first half shot at Martin Elungat providing the best bit of attacking play from either side in the opening 15 minutes.

The lack of attacking intent was replaced by strong challenges as both sides went all in to win the physical battle.

There were half chances for Gadafi Gadinho, Joseph Kafumbe and Seif Batte who saw his header from Davis Ssekagya’s corner kick cleared off the line by Denis Ojara.

Gadinho had more questions to ask in the second half by Elungat was equal to the task.

The draw takes Villa in second place, level on points with Maroons, while Onduparaka who were docked two points before the game remain bottom of the log, but now have cleared their deficit.

Onduparaka will visit Gaddafi on Wednesday, while Villa host rivals Express on Friday October 14.

How they lined up

Onduparaka XI: Mathias Muwanga (Gk), Alex Adriko, Joel Abaliwano, Benard Ndifuna, Denis Ojara, Boniface Musema, James Jarieko, Rashid Yakin, Amos Muwonge, Gadinho Gadaffi, Rashid Okocha

SC Villa XI: Martin Elungat (Gk), Fred Agandu, Hassan Musana, Gift Fred, Ivan Sserubiri, Pistis Barenge, Davis Ssekajja, Sheif Batte, Frank Muna Kalule, Ivan Bogere, Joseph Kafumbe
