In a highly anticipated clash, KCCA FC is gearing up to take on NEC FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League. The stakes are high as both teams, who share the same home ground, look to secure crucial points as we near the end of the season.

KCCA FC, currently sitting ninth in the league standings, are seeking to avoid back-to-back losses having suffered a 1-0 defeat against Kitara FC in the previous game week.

Speaking ahead of the game, KCCA Head Coach, Abdallah Mubiru said they hope to avoid the mistakes that cost them the first leg.

“We’re coming into this match with a fire in our bellies. We’ve analyzed our mistakes and are ready to rectify them. Our fans can expect an aggressive and determined performance.”

NEC FC, sitting in fourth place, seek to get back to winning ways having drawn 2-2 with UPDF FC in the previous game week. The Head Coach, Hussein Mbalangu emphasized that his team wouldn’t undermine KCCA FC despite the 2-0 victory in the first leg.

“We can’t afford to rest. Yes, we secured a 2-0 victory in the first leg, but that’s history now. KCCA FC is hungry for revenge, and we must be cautious.”

The game will be played at the Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 PM and live on Sanyuka Prime.
