The Uganda Cricket Association has officially unveiled the squad set to represent Uganda in the upcoming International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup. Named the ‘Chosen Ones’, the squad comprises 15 players along with two travelling reserves, who will proudly don the national colors during the tournament taking place across the USA and the West Indies from June 1st to 29th.
Head Coach Abhay Sharma, alongside Convenor of Selectors Nehal Bibodi, presented the final squad, emphasizing a balance of seasoned veterans and emerging talents.

Under the guidance of newly appointed Head Coach Abhay Sharma, the Cricket Cranes are eager to showcase their skills on the global stage. Sharma, who played a pivotal role in the selection process, emphasized the squad’s blend of experience and potential.
“We have meticulously selected the squad based on form and potential,” Sharma remarked. “With a mix of seasoned campaigners and emerging talents, we are confident in our preparations for the tournament.”
The squad includes stalwarts such as Simon Ssesazi, Alpesh Ramjani, Juma Miyagi, Cosmas Kyewuta, captain Brian Masaba, and vice-captain Riazat Ali Shah. The team will receive unwavering support from the coaching and management staff, including Assistant Coach Jackson Ogwang, Consultant Craig Williams, and Team Manager Charles Waiswa.
Currently, the team is on a 15-day tour in Sri Lanka, engaging in a series of six Twenty20 matches against Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLCB) teams in Galle and Colombo as part of their preparation for the tournament.
