St. Mary’s Girls School Starts Strong at Girls’ Cricket Tournament

St. Mary’s Girls School in Madera has emerged as a formidable force in the ongoing girls’ cricket tournament. Surprising both fans and opponents, the team has secured victories in all three of their initial matches.

Despite not achieving high scores, St. Mary’s Girls has consistently demonstrated a strong defensive strategy, successfully defending their modest totals in each encounter. Led by the capable leadership of captain Kulume Ruth, the team is on track to secure a spot in the tournament’s semifinals.

Other standout performers in the tournament include Mbwali Naume, leading the batting charts with 186 runs, and Apio Blessing Noeline, showcasing her prowess with nine wickets to her name.

In today’s matches, St. Mary’s Girls Madera continued their winning streak with a convincing victory over Mukono Kings, further solidifying their position as contenders in the tournament.

Meanwhile, other teams such as Olila High School and Masaka SS also demonstrated their prowess with convincing wins, setting the stage for an exciting final stretch of the tournament.
