The Papua New Guinea (PNG) Barramundis cricket team will embark on a tour of Uganda, facing off against the Cricket Cranes in a four-match One-Day International (ODI) series from September 16th to 22nd.
This will be the first time PNG has visited Uganda, providing them with a valuable opportunity to prepare for their upcoming Challenge League A tournament in Kenya.
The Cricket Cranes, meanwhile, will use the series to fine-tune their preparations for their own Challenge League B tournament, which Uganda will host from November 5th to 16th.
The series will also give Cricket Cranes head coach Abhay Sharma a chance to assess his team’s performance in a different format.
The two sides previously met at the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies, with the Cricket Cranes emerging victorious.
However, this upcoming series will see them compete in the ODI format.
All four matches will be played at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe.
