Deep End Schools Cricket Tournament Returns

The Deep End Schools Cricket Tournament is set to return on Saturday, October 12, 2024, bringing excitement and competitive spirit to the Mukono region.

Organized by Deep End Sports Media and the Mukono Cricket Community, the tournament has been instrumental in promoting cricket among students and providing them with valuable training opportunities.

Last year, Mukono Kings High School and St. Cornelius SS Kalagala emerged victorious in the girls’ and boys’ categories, respectively.

This year, the tournament will feature two new participants, St. Mary’s College Namagunga and Gayaza High School, adding to the already competitive field.

Simon Kintu, chairman of the Mukono Cricket Community and head of the local organizing committee, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event saying all preparations are in place, and the participating teams have been training hard.

The tournament will be held across three venues: Gayaza Ground, Namagunga Ground, and Mt. St. Henry’s Ground.
