Rain Forces Venue Change for Uganda’s Challenge League B Opener

The Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) was forced to make a last-minute venue change for Uganda’s opening match in the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B tournament.

Due to persistent rainfall in the past week, the ground conditions at the Lugogo Cricket Oval have deteriorated significantly, making it unplayable for the scheduled match against Singapore.

As a result, the match has been moved to the Entebbe Lakeside Oval, a venue renowned for its excellent playing conditions.

The decision was made to ensure a smooth and competitive start to the tournament, as well as to protect the integrity of the game.

The UCA has assured fans that they are working tirelessly to improve the ground conditions at Lugogo for future matches.

The grounds team is taking necessary steps to address the issues and ensure that the venue is ready to host high-quality cricket in the coming days.

The Uganda Cricket Cranes will be eager to make a strong start to the tournament that is a pathway to the ODI World Cup.
