Italy secured a nine-wicket victory over Tanzania in their ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B match at the Entebbe Cricket Oval.
The match was initially reduced to 45-over affair due to rain interruptions, but again reduced to a 28-over game after further interruptions.
Tanzania, who were batting first, were unable to post a competitive total, being bowled out for 173 runs in 43.4 overs.
Italy, with their revised target of 169 runs in 28 overs, chased down the total with ease, reaching the target in just 28.4 overs.
Italian opener Emilio Gay was the star of the show, scoring a magnificent 96 runs off just 84 balls.
Italy will face Hong Kong on Saturday while Tanzania take on hosts Uganda on the same day.
