Britain’s Jack Draper, the fifth seed, secured a dominant 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 victory over Brazilian rising star Joao Fonseca in the French Open third round.
This marks Draper’s first time reaching the fourth round at Roland Garros.
Draper, 23, showcased his superior quality and experience against the 18-year-old Fonseca, whose explosive style has drawn attention.
“My experience came through,” Draper stated. He controlled the match from the start, effectively handling Fonseca’s powerful game.
Draper will now face either Alexander Bublik or Henrique Rocha in the fourth round.
There will also be a second British man in the last 16, as Jacob Fearnley and Cameron Norrie play each other.
