FIFA has cancelled around 60 World Cup tickets mistakenly issued for free after a website error, telling fans they must pay full price within seven days or lose them.
The glitch affected group-stage matches in Toronto. Fifa said it “regrets any inconvenience” but insisted tickets must be re-purchased.

The incident comes amid wider scrutiny of Fifa’s ticketing, with US attorneys investigating claims of inflated prices.
Despite promises of a sell-out, seats remain available less than a week before the tournament begins on 11 June in Canada, the US and Mexico.
