Soroti City Retain Women’s T20 League Title

Soroti City posted a challenging total of 125/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Proscovia Alako was the star with a blistering knock of 43 runs off just 22 balls, including four fours and four sixes.

Olila’s bowlers, Immaculate Nandera and Sarah Akiteng, picked up a wicket each but couldn’t stem the flow of runs.

In reply, Olila CC were restricted to 109/8, falling short of the target despite their efforts.

The tournament also saw the recognition of outstanding individual performances.

Teddy Oyella from Tornado Bee was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP), amassing 696 points throughout the competition.

Stephanie Nampiina from Jinja SS was awarded the Best Batter for her impressive tally of 215 runs, while Naome Amogin from the champions, Soroti City, clinched the Best Bowler award with 12 wickets.
