Uganda Boxing Champions league Week 14: Ukasha destroyed Kawooya in main fight

Matovu Ukasha showed he was the better boxer when he fought against Muhammad Kawaooya at Lugogo in Week 14 of the Uganda Boxing Champions League.

He won the fight because the referee decided to stop it (RSC). This was Ukasha’s first fight since he won a bronze medal for Uganda at the African Championships in Yaounde last August.

Right from the beginning, Ukasha attacked strongly. In the first round, he almost knocked down Kawooya with a powerful right punch, but Kawooya managed to stay on his feet.

Although Kawooya did better in the second round, he still had trouble with his energy and stamina.

Ukasha continued to be very aggressive in the third round, landing strong punches, including a left hook that made Kawooya retreat to the ropes.

In the fourth round, Kawooya was clearly struggling, so the referee stopped the fight to protect him from getting hurt more.

In other fights, Kilwana Sadat won against Denis Okenyi in the third round, and Kemis Ibrahim defeated Kandi Melton in the second round because the referee stopped the fight.

Kayolo Aggrey and Katende Hassan had a special match that ended in a 2:1:2 tie. Onyango Hashim won by a 4:3 split decision over Galabuzi Ashraf in the junior 52 kg bout.

Mpanfa Ashraf won unanimously against Kironde Japeth with a score of 5:0 in the Youth 71 kg bout.

Angel Katushabe stopped Nankya Maria in the first round of the women’s junior 50 kg fight.

Suzan Namitala defeated Mutyaba Swabura in the first round with a referee-stop decision in the youth 60 kg fight.
